August 3, The Fair Wraps up the Final Day.

A woman riding past on a float told me she liked all my wonderful pictures of the fair. I don’t really know what she was talking about because I didn’t take any pictures of the fair. I think she may have seen the pictures on the Plainsman Herald’s new Facebook page and mistakenly assumed I had taken them.

Farmer’s Market will be in Springfield this week

The Farmers Market is just getting started and all the crops are not ready, so check your gardens to see what is ripe and join the fun. You will find some nice home made goods for sale and I’m sure the squash is ready, as it was this last Saturday. Personally, I like the home made cinnamon rolls.

Great Expectations, Baca County Parade, Saturday,Aug 3

The Kid’s parade is for children under the age of 12. No horses are allowed in the kid’s parade but if a chile is riding a horse, they will ride with the horse group. We have great expectations for a very hot day.
