Another update from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, due  to last night’s storm, the flood gates had to be reopened as the water level rose too much. The gates will be left open until the water level goes back down to 32′. ~M (..and those gates are not easy to open and close. )

Heavy rains cause Pueblo State Park to close through weekend

The Rock Canyon Day-Use Area swim beach at Lake Pueblo State Park will be closed through the weekend due to heavy rains and flooding. The rain storm in the Pueblo area on Wednesday caused flooding, standing water and water drainage issues which have resulted in the need for closure of the Rock Canyon Swim Beach until further notice.
